West Ham lining up a transfer move for Milan star
- West Ham could sign Serie A star forward Samuel Chukwueze from Milan in the January transfer window.
- Hammers view Chukwueze as a similar profile player on the right wing as compared to Summerville.
West Ham and Serie A side Milan have been recently rumored to be involved in transfer talks regarding a swap deal involving Edson Alvarez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the upcoming January transfer window. Further, the Hammers are also huge admirers of Milan's new signings, Youssouf Fofana and Tammy Abraham, and now could be willing to sign another of their star players.
West Ham lining up a transfer move for Milan star
Samuel Chukwueze joined the Serie A side last year but hasn't managed to become a regular starter in the front three. The 25-year-old right-winger has found the back of the net only once in the ongoing season and is now the second-choice right forward for Paulo Fonseca's side after Pulisic.
Hence, Milan is open to listening to transfer offers for the former Villarreal star, and West Ham is keen to add a jet-heeled forward such as Samuel Chukwueze to their attack. Similar to in-form West Ham star Cryscencio Summerville, Chukwueze also possesses a brilliant pace down the right flank and has quick passes, and playmaking helps to create a lot of good goalscoring chances near the edge of the box.
Also, manager Julen Lopetegui is one of the huge admirers of Chukwueze's talent during his previous managerial role at La Liga side Sevilla and could prefer to bring the 25-year-old to replace struggling playmaker Lucas Paqueta at the London Stadium. Milan is also considering bringing in another right-winger to improve their squad and thus could enter into negotiations with West Ham to sell Chukwueze in the upcoming January transfer window.
However, West Ham has already brought nine new signings in the summer transfer window and thus may prefer to sign Chukwueze on a loan move with a buy option for the next season. While Chukwueze could prefer to join a club playing European football this season, the 25-year-old could get more playing time in Julen Lopetegui's first-team squad in the ongoing Premier League campaign.
Now, it remains to be seen whether West Ham decide to submit an opening transfer offer to sign Chukwueze from Serie A side Milan in the January transfer window.
