West Ham star discusses West Ham's mistakes on the opening goal
Coming on the back of two consecutive defeats against Chelsea and Liverpool, the Brentford match was a great opportunity for West Ham to put up an impressive performance and take a convincing win in the sixth Premier League matchday. However, West Ham saw themselves behind in the first minute with Brentford finding spaces behind the Hammers defence and Mbeumo scoring the opening goal with a quality finish. West Ham focused on organising a reliable and rock solid defence this season, but have been unable to implement that due to regular defensive mistakes and misplaced passes this season. Further, key players such as Emerson Palmieri and Edson Alvarez have also not been great with their recent performances and thus, manager Lopetegui should make a few changes in his possession based tactics to focus on organising the West Ham defence.
The Hammers will face newly promoted side Ipswich Town in the next fixture aiming to take a much needed win before the upcoming international break.
