Recently, West Ham are advancing in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Carlos Soler. The box-to-box midfielder has great passing ability and will add more quality and depth to West Ham's midfield. Also, the Hammers are open to selling a few players in this transfer window as well.

Now, according to reports from UOL, Brazilian club Corinthians have submitted a bid for young West Ham defender Luizao. The 22-year-old centre back joined West Ham on a free transfer in January 2023, but hasn't made his debut for West Ham yet. The report states that Corinthians offered £2.5 million to West Ham for signing Luizao, however, the Hammers have rejected the offer.

Luizao currently plays for West Ham's U21 team, and has showcased his qualities as a central defender with some impressive performances. However, Luizao didn't feature for West Ham in the preseason, which suggests that Luizao still needs to improve as a defender. Also, he is 22 and now needs to play senior football regularly to become a better centre back.

West Ham currently have four centre backs in the senior team, thus, Luizao will have to play in the U21 team this season. Therefore, Luizao should look to join a new team in this transfer window, where he will get more playing time. The report also stated that West Ham want a transfer fee of £4 million for Luizao.

Now it remains to be seen if Corinthians improve their offer or try to sign Luizao on a season long loan with an option to buy him from West Ham next season. Also, Julen Lopetegui's side will face Crystal Palace in the second Premier League match.
