West Ham becoming big favourites to sign Todibo
- West Ham's offer for Nice centre back Jean-Clair Todibo revealed.
- Hammers offer is better than Juventus with Nice ready to sell Todibo to West Ham.
Towards the end of July, Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo to Juventus seemed only a matter of time. However, a recent report from La Gazetta Dello Sport revealed that Juventus loan with a mandatory buy offer for Todibo hasn't convinced Nice. On top of that, West Ham have returned for the 24-year-old centre back with a new and improved bid.
Now, Nice Matin Cannes has revealed the Hammers bid for the former Barcelona ace. The report reveals that West Ham have offered around £30 million, which is a real market value offer for Todibo. Also, Juventus offer has been labeled as ridiculous and Nice are not convinced with it despite Todibo's willingness to join the Italian giants this summer.
West Ham becoming big favourites to sign Todibo
This revelation has drawn optimism for Todibo to West Ham to happen. Further, Nice are happy with West Ham's offer and could look to convince Jean-Clair Todibo to join the Hammers instead. As for Todibo, a big move into the future can still happen. Early on in this window, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester United can't sign Todibo as both United and Nice are owned by INEOS and thus, can't do any transfer move between them.
If Todibo joins West Ham now, and becomes a rock solid defender in the Premier League, which is highly likely to happen given his quality, then Todibo can join Manchester United from West Ham after two years at the age of 26. This will be a win win situation for both clubs as United will get a proven and quality centre back who is entering his prime and West Ham will get around £75 million selling Todibo. In the meanwhile, he can improve the Hammers defence and help the club secure European football again, winning some trophies as well.
This is still early expectation though, and Juventus have a month to improve their bid and sign Todibo themselves. Thus, West Ham need to make sure their offer is far better than Juventus and hope that he agrees to a move to the London Stadium now with a view to joining a big Premier League club after two seasons.
