- Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme, and Wes Foderingham made their West Ham debuts.
West Ham started their preseason against Ferencvaros in Austria. Trailing by two goals at halftime, West Ham came back and scored the equalizer with the last touch of the game as Nayef Aguerd slotted the ball past the Ferencvaros keeper.
There were several talking points from the hard-earned 2-2 draw. On that note, here are three talking points from Julen Lopetegui's first preseason game:-
1. Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme, and Wes Foderingham
This was the first match of the preseason, and as usual, the excitement was around the new signings. To start things off, manager Julen Lopetegui started two new signings in the starting XI. In defense, a £40 million signing, Max Kilman, made his first West Ham appearance, and young Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme also started the game.
At halftime, both of them were subbed off, and the third new signing, 33-year-old goalkeeper Wes Foderingham, was also given his Hammers debut by Julen Lopetegui.
