After an impressive showing against Wolves, Emerson was again one of the best players in the West Ham lineup. After conceding the opening goal quickly, Emerson made a lot of positive runs inside the Crystal Palace half trying to find the equaliser.
Minutes after Michail Antonio levelled the game at 1-1, Emerson came very close to scoring as well. Compared to Aaron Cresswell, Emerson looks a more balanced option in Julen Lopetegui's possession based tactical setup. Thus, Emerson remains a key player in the upcoming season for West Ham to achieve a top six spot in the Premier League.
