Juventus and West Ham could be in for a swap deal this summer. After already overtaking the Hammers in the race for Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo, the Italian side have set their sights on a West Ham star and can even offer a player in exchange as a swap deal to the clarets and blue.

After signing Max Kilman from Wolves, Julen Lopetegui still has Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd and Kostas Mavropanos as center back options available. Now, Calciomercato reports that Mavropanos has caught the attention of Juventus. The 26-year-old is viewed as an exciting squad option by new Juve coach, Thiago Motta.

Arriving for £15 million in 2023, the Greek defender has had a mixed debut season at the club. Some stellar displays coupled with defensive errors has seen Kostas being unable to claim a starting spot under David Moyes.

However, he could be in for a new cover role at Juventus with the aim to gain the trust of Thiago Motta down the line. The report further states that Juventus could offer a swap deal as well with Arthur Melo potentially returning to the Premier League, this time for the Hammers.

This swap deal makes some sense as despite not being physical, Arthur Melo can play as the back up for Tomas Soucek in a pivot role with Edson Alvarez.

However, this rumour is still in the early stages and before midfield, West Ham need to bring in a new left winger, a striker and possibly a reliable centre back to partner Max Kilman at the heart of defence.
