Forward doesn't want to leave West Ham in this transfer window
West Ham signed English forward Danny Ings for a transfer fee of £15 million from Aston Villa in January 2023. Ings was brought in to score more goals as the Hammers were struggling in the Premier League that season. But the former Liverpool forward managed to score only four goals in around fifty appearances for the Hammers.
A big reason of his struggles were that former manager David Moyes wanted Ings to play as a centre forward, but the experienced striker doesn't contributes much in the build up play. Ings is a number nine who has a great finishing and aerial ability inside the box, thus couldn't adapt well to playing as a playmaker forward. Now, West Ham have Niclas Fullkrug and Michail Antonio in their squad, and even if they both get injured, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus can play as the number nine, thus, Ings won't get much playing time at West Ham this season.

Therefore, Julen Lopetegui's side are trying to offload the English forward, with the transfer window still open in a lot of European leagues. Clubs in Portugal and Netherlands can make an offer to sign Ings, and a move to Turkish league isn't ruled out, where the transfer window is open until the first two weeks of September. However, a report from Claret and Hugh has revealed that Danny Ings doesn't want to leave the London Stadium this summer, as he didn't accepted any loan transfer to join a Premier League team on the final day of the transfer window.
The forward has entered the final year of his contract, and will be available on a free transfer next summer. Thus, West Ham are trying to sell him in this transfer window, but Ings wants to fulfill his Hammers contract. Hence, if he stays, West Ham will hope that he displays some impressive performance in his limited game time this season.
Now, it remains to be seen if Danny Ings joins a new team this season.
