In this summer transfer window, West Ham managed to win the race to secure the signature of French centre back Jean-Clair Todibo despite transfer interest from several top European clubs. The 24-year-old star arrived at the London Stadium on a season long loan transfer from French club Nice last month. This deal included an option to buy for West Ham to sign Todibo for a transfer fee of around £32 million after the end of this season.
Now, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has reported about West Ham's option to buy Todibo on a permanent basis next season, saying,
"The obligation to buy clause (€40m) into Jean-Clair Todibo deal at West Ham from OGC Nice is very easy to reach, almost guaranteed.

It will be triggered soon as French centre back can already be considered 100% West Ham player, as always mentioned."

Therefore, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the former Barcelona defender is a permanent signing for West Ham, who have added one of the best young centre the-backs in Europe's top five leagues to their squad. Max Kilman has started the season on a high note for the Hammers, and Todibo is currently adapting to the pace and physicality of the Premier League. Therefore, after the international break, Todibo is expected to form a great centre back partnership with Kilman and bolster the West Ham defence throughout the season.
Further, Julen Lopetegui's side will try to take a winning momentum in the upcoming matches in order to finish inside the top six in the Premier League this season. Now, West Ham will face Fulham in an away fixture at the Craven Cottage Stadium in the fourth league match aiming to take the three points from the match.
Also, it remains to be seen whether Todibo starts for the Hammers against Fulham in the next match.
