3. Defensive Upgrade

Despite bringing in new centre backs Nayef Aguerd and Kostas Mavropanos last summer and already having Kurt Zouma it's safe to say that West Ham under David Moyes didn't found their ideal starting centre-back pairing.

And now after David Moyes's departure, it's time to start afresh. Kurt Zouma joined the Hammers from Chelsea, however with inconsistent performances and off the field drama surrounding him, it's time West Ham need to move on from the Frenchman.

Mavropanos and Aguerd both had been decent yet still lack communication and look rusty at times. Plus, their partnership always look error prone with the pair making a lot of defensive errors last season. Thus, a new look defense of Max Kilman alongside possibly Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo or one of Aguerd and Mavropanos can help West Ham in their push for the top six spot in the Premier League.
