West Ham United lost two games on the bounce as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion. The result means that the Hammers dropped down to eighth in the Championship. Earlier in the week, there were rumours that Rob Edwards was being lined up as a potential successor to Nuno Espírito Santo, which seemed crazy. However, after that performance, there must be serious questions about Nuno's future as West Ham manager.

West Ham Player Ratings

Mads Hermansen - 5: Many fans want to see Alphonse Areola back in goal for West Ham. After conceding another three goals, Hermansen's days as West Ham's number one could be limited.

Kyle Walker-Peters - 5: Often went forward and even made a shot on goal.

Airidas Golambeckis - 5: Has big boots to fill, stepping in for the injured Dinos Mavropanos. Golambeckis was not always composed on the ball and was often caught out of position. West Ham fans will be hoping to have Mavropanos back as soon as possible.

Max Kilman - 5: Left West Brom attackers with too much space. With Mavropanos out, Kilman also tried to be the Hammers' set-piece threat.

Morato - 5: Got forward often and played some nice through balls. However, his attacking instincts made West Ham vulnerable defensively.

Jarrod Bowen (c) - 6: Great run forward, and was fortunate his shot deflected in for West Ham's goal. Bowen also put in some nice crosses into the box.

Divine Mukasa - 5: Was not able to control the midfield, but did link up well with Arne Engels at times. Mukasa was also able to get into space where he could get shots on goal.

Arne Engels - 6: Another great passing display. However, West Ham lacked urgency, especially after trailing.

Edvin Austbo- 6: Fans got what they wanted, seeing Austbo start ahead of Manor Solomon. Austbo is energetic and was able to run at defenders and put crosses in.

Mohamadou Kante - 6: Excellent first-time pass that led to Bowen's goal. However, Kante did not do much else.

Pablo - 5: Usual performance from Pablo, dropping back to link up with teammates. However, not often a goal threat. He got in a few good positions, but was not clinical.

Off the Bench

Manor Solomon - 6: Came on with a point to prove and made an impact. Very similar to Austbo in his style of play.

Joel Veltman - 6: Solidified West Ham's defence when he came on.

Taty Castellanos - 6: Had an acrobatic effort on goal late on.

Joel Piroe - 4: Was sloppy in his cameo.

Tomas Soucek - 6: Provided West Ham with a much-needed physical presence.
