Mohammed Kudus was a good player for West Ham United. Memorably, he scored a brace in the Europa League last-16 tie against Freiburg. However, the Hammers would go on to lose to Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter-finals.

In total, Kudus scored 19 goals, with 13 assists in 80 games for West Ham. His dribbling entertained fans at the London Stadium. However, last summer, he made the controversial move to rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Kudus was the first player to make that transfer since Scott Parker in 2011.

Kudus' time at Tottenham has not gone to plan. Spurs were expected to build on the success of winning the Europa League last season. However, they find themselves 16th in the Premier League, with real concerns of relegation.

The Ghanaian has scored just three times, with six assists in 26 games for Spurs this season. He has also been out of action since January with a hamstring problem.

Mohammed Kudus has not been able to replicate his West Ham form

Kudus thought that Spurs would be a step up for him. However, he has reportedly already agreed on a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

According to Topskills Sports UK, "Atlético Madrid have secretly reached a verbal agreement in principle with Mohamed Kudus on a 4.5-year deal. The breakthrough comes after Tottenham’s severe mismanagement has left the club sitting just one point above the relegation zone.

"Should Spurs go down this season, Atlético are confident they can secure the Ghanaian international on a bargain fee this summer. Kudus has already said 𝐘𝐄𝐒 to the move."

Atletico have just defeated Spurs 5-2 in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie. They are also third in La Liga. Kudus should be able to settle into Spanish soccer easily, as he has already also played in Denmark with Nordsjaelland and the Netherlands with Ajax. However, he may have to adjust to the more defensive style of play that Diego Simeone likes.
