West Ham could be in line for a major financial boost if the club can win their remaining two games of the season.

The Hammers could up against Leicester on the final day of the Premier League season and then all eyes on the Conference League showpiece versus Fiorentina as David Moyes‘s side look to get their hands on a European trophy.

Victories in both could land the Irons a bonus £13.5m. Here is why…

West Ham could pocket an extra £13.5m with victories in the final Premier League games and in the Europa Conference League final.

Approaching the last matchday of the campaign, West Ham sit 14th in the table. But a win over the Foxes and a Wolves loss to Arsenal would see us jump a place in the league to 13th.

And the Hammers can still finish 12th if they can secure three points versus Leicester, the Gunners beat Wolves and there is a three-goal swing in West Ham’s game and Chelsea’s fixture at Newcastle. A 1-0 win ahead of the final and a Blues 2-0 defeat would do the trick.

The Athletic report that a 12th spot finish would lead to the Hammers receiving £33.5m from the Premier League in prize money. 13th earns you £30m. 14th leads to a £26m payment. Finishing 15th, a possible finish if West Ham lose and Bournemouth beat Everton, gets you £22m.

A win in the Conference League will hand West Ham £5m and losing to Fiorentina means the club pocket a £3m reward.

Therefore, West Ham could end up with as much as £38.5m or just £25m depending on results.

The amount teams get per league position has been hugely boosted since last year due to the chiefs securing a massive international TV rights deal.

Last season, West Ham’s 7th place finish earned them £29m If they finished in the same spot this term it would’ve meant a £52m pay out.
