Four West Ham Senior Players Released After Contract Expiration
By Mia Claydon
This year’s player release list has been officially announced by West Ham United this morning. The Hammers confirmed the departure of four senior players as well as six development squad players following their respective expiring contracts on 30th June.
Andriy Yarmolenko, David Martin, Ryan Fredericks, and of course, Mark Noble, are those set to be released from the club this summer. All have played great roles when appearing for the club; Yarmolenko’s recent emotional match-winning goals; Martin’s fantastic display against Chelsea when called upon last minute; Fredericks’ attacking threat and pace putting teams on the back foot; and Noble, who needs no explanation on his role in the club for the last 18 years.
In terms of the development squad, Nathan Holland, Jayden Fevrier, Bernardo Rosa, Amadou Diallo, Ossama Ashley, and scholar Isaac Evans will also leave East London come 30th June. Fans will recognise some of these names, including Holland, who was pipped for first-team success earlier in his career.
West Ham have thanked ‘all those players departing for their hard work and commitment during their careers in Claret and Blue and wish them the very best for their future careers.’ Captain Declan Rice has also paid tribute to each departing senior player, wishing them each well on their respective future journeys.
