It has been a long and controversial week for the club, with Kurt Zouma’s reprehensible actions taking center-stage after a video was leaked online of him abusing his cat.

But a lot has been said about those incidents and the aftermath of the world finding out, and we are here to focus on West Ham’s trip to the King Power Stadium to take on an out-of-form Leicester City.

West Ham has won their last three Premier League matches against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester, by an overall aggregate score of 10-3.

The Hammers scraped past Watford in midweek thanks to yet another Jarrod Bowen winning goal, but the overall display was far from convincing and left a lot to be desired as David Moyes’ men continue to hang on to 4th place by the skin of their teeth.

He and his side will be aiming to back that victory up with three points over the Foxes – who got embarrassed out of the FA Cup last weekend by local rivals Nottingham Forest, before leaving Anfield empty-handed on Thursday night in their defeat to Liverpool.

So, what do our resident writers at Green Street Hammers predict the outcome will be on Sunday?

MIA: Leicester 1-2 West Ham

Despite our current 4th place position, our performances have not been massively settling as of late. In 2022, we appear to have dropped off slightly in terms of how we previously dominated games and bringing no new faces in January may also pose some concern.

With this in mind, I believe this will be a very close game. With Jarrod Bowen playing in the form of his life, it’s hard to imagine him not bagging a goal or assist at the King Power. Kurt Zouma and Craig Dawson showed their defensive solidity against Watford, despite both players being subject to criticism over the last few weeks. Leicester has a very strong squad, with many outstanding individual players, but have struggled to see games off this season. It’s 4th vs 12th place, but I see a very interesting game coming.

ALEX: Leicester 1-1 West Ham

Despite winning our last two matches, the performances have not been convincing at all and we look tired. However, Leicester has been worse recently, especially defensively.

We struggle to break down opponents who sit deep but fortunately, Leicester doesn’t play like this. A win would be huge but the Foxes are still a good side with players to cause us problems. Manuel Lanzini must start – if he plays well – so do West Ham.

JACK: Leicester 2-3 West Ham

We’ve not been in the best of form as of late but we have been able to get some decent results despite our poor performances. Leicester is in a bad spell of form and there are big questions being asked of their manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Foxes will be under a huge amount of pressure to get a result against us on Sunday to help ease the pressure on Rodgers and to get them back in the running for European football. We need to hope that we up our game as we were lucky to walk away with three points against Watford.

If we play like that against the Foxes, then we will get punished. Both defences have been a bit leaky as of late so this has the potential to be a high-scoring game but one that we will need to win to keep our Champions League dreams alive.

JIMMY: Leicester 1-2 West Ham

Both teams have been struggling on form recently but I think the Hammers may bounce back here.

Leicester’s defence has been a massive disappointment so far this season which is exactly what West Ham’s attack needs right now. With basically every attacker except Bowen struggling as of late, I think this is a nice bounce-back spot and after the tough match against Watford, I believe David Moyes will have his boys ready to go against the foxes.
