West Ham are believed to have funds available for the January transfer window following the investment from Czech billionaire, Daniel Kretinsky. This could make a deal for Jesse Lingard increasingly likely.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to sell Lingard for just £10 million as the Red Devils are concerned they will lose him for free in the summer if he can not agree a new deal at the club.

Lingard has made eight appearances, only one being a start in the League Cup defeat to West Ham. He is no nearer to becoming a regular starter so a move back to the Hammers, where he was so brilliant last season in his loan spell, is rumoured to be tempting Lingard.

West Ham are believed to have funds available in January to make a move for Jesse Lingard, who could be available for just £10 million, because of the investment Daniel Kretinsky has made in the club.

With Manchester United in disarray under manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and West Ham flying high under David Moyes – who Lingard has a great relationship with – a deal could suit all parties. West Ham see the return of a fan’s favourite and Man United don’t lose him for free.

It is worth noting that all this comes after West Ham were priced out of a move over the summer when Man United demanded £25 million. Hammers in the know @ExWHUemployee claims with the extra funds Kretinsky brings, the budget for January could be more than previous years.

West Ham could be battling Newcastle for Lingard’s signature and with their new owners they will be able to put in a sizeable bid, however, Lingard’s existing relationship with the Hammers and better league position could be enough to make West Ham the favourites.

As great as it would be to have Lingard back, especially knowing squad depth will be tested come the second half of the season when Europa League football catches up with the team, it could stall the progress of Nikola Vlasic. The Croatian is being eased in by David Moyes, similarly to how the Scot managed Said Benrahma.

Having said that, West Ham have only one recognised striker in Michail Antonio, whose minutes are being managed by the club, therefore, bringing in one or two attackers could be vital for building on the successful start to the season.

Jesse Lingard come home to the London Stadium!!!!!
