Opposition Preview via The Eagles Beak

Everything points towards a Hammers win considering the start you’ve had but this center-back pairing is becoming increasingly hard to beat since straying together against Brentford. Benteke often plays well against you and if Wilf turns it on, I’d like to think we could hold you to a score draw. The underdog tag has always suited us anyway.

Team news:

Crystal Palace continues to have a number of players out through injuries, including Michael Olise, Nathan Ferguson, and Ebre Eze. Also, their captain Luka Milivojevic will probably be missing due to personal reasons.

Crystal Palace was embarrassed 3-0 on the opening day of the 21/22 Premier League campaign by Chelsea and drew 0-0 Brentford last Saturday. Goalless so far this season they will look to secure a first goal of the season and a first win of the season against the Hammers.

Key men:

The Ivory Coast winger, Wilfried Zaha is the main talisman for the Eagles and will be the main threat to the West Ham defense tomorrow. His driving runs and brilliant footwork could be a threat to West Ham full-backs, Vladimir Coufal and Aaron Cresswell.

Former Liverpool striker, Christian Benteke will look to be the main target up-top for Crystal Palace. His aerial ability and natural goal-scoring instincts could be a problem for the West Ham center-backs. Ogbonna and Dawson will need to stay tight to Benteke in the box and keep him from winning headers.

Predicted XI:

Guaita, Ward, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Gallagher, Kouyate, McArthur, Zaha, Benteke, Ayew

Match Prediction:
Crystal Palace 1 – 3 West Ham

Next. West Ham’s Predicted Starting XI: You can’t change a winning side, right?. dark

The West Ham attack will be too much to handle for Crystal Palace tomorrow as the goals continue to flow for the Hammers. Moyes has never faced new Palace manager Patrick Viera, but his abundance of Premier League managerial experience in comparison to Viera will be decisive in the match. I’m predicting a dominant West Ham performance and a third consecutive win in a row to start the season.
