2nd: Manchester City

The 2021/22 season will be the end of City’s run of three out of the last four Premier League titles. Instead it will now be three out of the last five. Pep Guardiola‘s side ran away with the league last year and never looked back finishing 12 points above second place Man United. While that City campaign was still fun to watch, I prefer a much closer title race, and I think that’s what we’ll get this year. I can see the champion of this season not being decided until the last matchday.

City did go out and improve upon their already insane squad adding Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish. This addition has apparently caused a couple of City attackers to possibly seek a transfer away from the club this summer but at the moment, no one has left except Sergio Aguero. Aguero’s move however was already decided before this window even opened.

I would also like to note at the time of writing this Harry Kane is still a Tottenham Hotspur player, but if he was to join City I would probably move them to top of the league. The one thing this squad lacks is a consistent finisher and Kane is one of the best at that. So without Harry Kane I see this City squad coming just short, but if he was to join, it might be four out of the last five.
