3rd: Manchester United

Coming one spot behind where they finished the 2020/21 season I have Manchester United. The Red Devils have done some solid business this summer bringing in Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and Raphael Varane from Real Madrid. Both of these players will go straight into the first team and provide a huge improvement to last year’s squad.

Now just because I have United finishing worse than the previous season doesn’t mean I think they will perform worse. The way I view it the title race will be a three way battle between United and the two teams I have yet to mention. One of the deciding factors as to why I put United in last out of the three is the manager. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer just isn’t the level of manager to take you to a league winning finish in my eyes. He is a good manager but not one that’s going to get the very best out of his squad.

It also doesn’t help that Marcus Rashford is out until October as he was a key part to United’s success at the beginning of last season. Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood will have to fill in the gap until Marcus comes back.

One other thing United fans can be excited about is it looks like Paul Pogba will be staying at Old Trafford for at least another year. With him and Bruno in the midfield between these new look attack and defenses it might be enough to outperform Ole.
