Group E:

Eliminated Teams: Slovakia and Poland

Over the last few years, the Inter Milan and Slovakia International center-back has solidified himself as one of the world’s best modern CB’s. Milan Skriniar will never be an Angelo Ogbonna or Craig Dawson in the air, but with the ball at his feet, he’s amazing. For his national side, the Slovak has struggled for form, but he will always be an excellent option at the back. Since his Serie A debut in 2016, he has completed 275 tackles, 204 blocks, and 134 interceptions.

Honorable Mention: Tomas Suslov

Group E hosts two center-backs that could help West Ham soon; this time, Kamil Piatkowski makes the list. Piatowski is a right-sided central defender whose outstanding performances for Rakow Czestochowa have led to his debut for the Polish international team. The 21-year-old has been with Rakow for two years and has been consistent. He was the assurance that gave his club the Polish Cup win during the 2020/21 campaign. Right now, it’s too late for him to join the Hammers, as a deal to join RB Salzburg is already done. Maybe in a few years!

Honorable Mention: Karol Linetty

Group F:

Eliminated Team: Hungary

Hungary's defender
Hungary's defender /

Willi Orban is a central defender for RB Leipzig and has been a regular part of the best defense in one of the top five European leagues since joining them in 2015. Orban was promoted to the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig in 2016 and has been a cornerstone ever since. In 2020/21, he played 2,361 minutes, making him the most used outfielder in the Bundesliga.

Orban is a perfectly balanced defender. He has the ability to destroy the opposition’s build-up play, but he can also contribute down on the other end of the pitch. RB Leipzig plays a high tempo style of play, and that could fancy David Moyes’ desire.

Next. West Ham sign Armstrong Oko-Flex; here’s what we know so far. dark

The majority of these names would be a fantasy movie for the Hammers because many of these players will be moving on to bigger clubs shortly for a lot of money. If we had to look at this list realistically, Willi Orban or Eljif Elmas would be our picks for who West Ham and David Moyes truly look at. The Euros begin again tomorrow, so stay tuned for more to come.
