David Moyes will be focused on his West Ham squad this week but will be happy to know that Manchester United are enduring a

mini injury crisis

. The Red Devil’s could be without as many as six first-team players for the Hammers visit to Old Trafford on Sunday. Ole Gunnar Solskjær will definitely be without stars such as Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata and Paul Pogba. The trio are all currently recovering from injuries. Marcus Rashford and Donny van de Beek are also doubts for the Red Devil’s. Another star that is certainly going to be absent is David De Gea. The Spaniard is not expected back until after the next round of internationals. Manchester United are still very much a threat, even without the six stars. Key man Bruno Fernandes sill still be expected to play. The Portuguese playmaker has become one of the best players in the league since his move from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020.

West Ham have received a timely boost ahead of their match against Manchester United and they could be without six of their players.

The Red Devil’s have already had the better of West Ham twice this season, winning 3-1 at the London Stadium before going on to knock the Hammers out of the FA Cup a few weeks ago. Despite good performances from Moyes’ side, the extra quality United had shone through in the end. Ole Gunnar Solskjær still has a lot of top players to pick from. Mason Greenwood will likely start in one of the attacking positions. The Englishman has become a villain to West Ham fans after a recording of him belittling

Mark Noble

to his friends emerged online. The game will also present an opportunity for a Hammers scouting mission. The club have been linked to Manchester United n.02 Dean Henderson in recent weeks. The goalkeeper is valued at £40 million and is considered a potential long-term

replacement

to Lukasz Fabianski.

On West Ham’s end, there is a relatively clean bill of health apart from the obvious absentees of Andriy Yarmolenko, Angelo Ogbonna and Arthur Masuaku. Moyes will, however, be without star man

Jesse Lingard

. The midfielder is illegible to play against his parent club.
