Leeds Match Presents West Ham Duo Great Opportunity
West Ham take on Leeds United in the Premier League on Monday evening, and the game could give two Hammers a chance for important goals. Both Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen would love to get on the scoresheet against the Yorkshire side.
Bowen has been a regular in the West Ham side since he was signed from Hull City in January 2020. The Englishman has already notched five goals in the Premier League this season but has gone off the boil over the last two months.
The 24-year-old has only managed one goal and one assist in his last 12 appearances for the Hammers. At the start of the season, Bowen declared that he wanted to hit double figures for the season. If the forward is to reach his goal, he will have to start finding the back of the net again and on a regular basis.
Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen are both having struggles in front of goal for West Ham and will be desperate to break their ducks against Leeds.
The other player that will be desperate to bag himself a goal will be Benrahma. The Algerian has impressed fans and David Moyes with his performances this season. The winger has been so good that he convinced the club to bring the option to buy him forward by six months and splash £25 million on him in January.
Benrahma has been a constant threat when he has played and has created opportunities for the teammates. The 25-year-old has accumulated five assists in 1,095 minutes of action for West Ham in all competitions.
Considering Benrahma managed to score 17 goals in the Championship last season for Brentford, it would have been expected that he would found the back of the net for West Ham by now. The Algerian has been unlucky at times been denied by some top saves, but he will want his luck to change soon.
Benrahma first showed his quality in a West Ham shirt when he played at Elland Road earlier in the season. The winger was on top form, and if he plays against the same opponents at the London Stadium with the same drive, he could finally get that elusive goal.
