Sometimes, there are no words to describe what you are watching during a match of football. You just have to sit back and enjoy it. That is what happened this past Wednesday night when West Ham travelled to  Villa Park.

West Ham put on a dazzling display against a tough Villa side and showed the entire Premier League what they are capable of when they are firing on all cylinders.

David Moyes and the entire squad put in a fantastic performance, and it only raises more questions as to how far up the table this West Ham team can go.

Although there were many standout performances from the match, one man, in this fan’s opinion, is really taking his game to the next level.

Saïd Benrahma is taking West Ham and their attack to a different planet.

It took Said Benrahma a few weeks to get involved in the squad and to understand the way that Moyes wants him to play. Now, it’s time to sit back and watch him flourish.

Yes, we know the skill has always been there. Benrahma’s ability to take on defenders, spray a beautiful pass across the pitch, and stun us with his movement has never been a doubt.

Now, however, we are starting to see the little things from him that make this squad so special and beloved. Tracking back on defence, blocking crosses, making tackles, Benrahma has been putting in such a shift over the past month or so.

In the Villa match, Benrahma was so integral to our beautiful counter-attacking football that cut Villa’s defence wide open.

Yes, debutant Jesse Lingard will get all of the praise and deservedly so after his brace, but Benrahma was fantastic the entire evening, and really seems to be enjoying his football with West Ham now.

It has been an absolute pleasure to be able to watch West Ham play football this year, but what gives me even more comfort as a fan is to know that Benrahma will be treating us to some fantastic moments for years to come.

What a fantastic signing, and what a great player he is becoming under David Moyes. Come on you Irons!
