The midfielder could be changed drastically for the match against Stockport. Stars like Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek are deserving of a break as neither have missed a minute of Premier League action this season.

Players like Mark Noble and Robert Snodgrass are likely to be recalled to the starting eleven. The duo are both well into their thirties but have had very little game time this season. Ninety minutes against the Hatters could do both of them a world of good as they require some match fitness.

Noble has come under criticism this season for his performances. The club captain is 33-years-old, and his powers have started to fade. A game against the Hatters could provide Mr West Ham with a chance to start one of the final times in his career.

Due to Stockport being in the conference it should be a good opportunity to give some youngsters some first-team football. Nathan Holland has been processing well before his injury and has started to stagnate a bit. If offered a chance against Stockport, Holland could prove that he still has something to offer the club in the future.

The game could also provide an opportunity for Said Benrahma. The Algerian signed on deadline day has only just broken into the first-team despite being highly rated. Benrahma could grab his first goal for the club against the Hatters and boost his confidence when he returns to Premier League action.
