West Ham’s Late-Game Hero Gets FIFA 21 In-Form
By Adam Smith
An intense and drama-filled final few minutes of West Ham’s match with Fulham sees their late-game hero earn a FIFA 21 in-form upgrade.
Take your pick on who should have earned West Ham’s second FIFA 21 Ultimate Team upgrade of the season as two players shone in the final hectic moments of West Ham’s eventual 1-0 win over Fulham. Tomas Soucek netted the winning goal in the 91st minute while Lukasz Fabianski stopped a ridiculous penalty to keep all three points and his clean sheet intact.
The draw goes to the keeper? That’s how this shook out anyways with the Polish keeper snapping up the decision and the card to match. Now away with Poland, Fabianski will be working hard and returning home to his four clean sheets on the season, good for join-fourth in the Premier League.
Fabianski’s base card is a rare gold 81 rated card with solid stats in diving (80), handling (82), reflexes (82), and positioning (81). While not elite, Fabianski’s well balances stats provide a solid starting keeper card for Ultimate Team players at a minimum cost.
His in-form upgrade sees him rise to 84 rated card with upgrades to all stat categories, most notably +4 to diving, +3 to reflexes, and +3 to his positioning. His price range is also now boosted with the minimum quick sell price of 10,250 slapped on him, although he is selling for just over 13K across all platforms at the moment.
As with Jarrod Bowen, West Ham’s only other in-form card, Fabianski’s upgrade is actually quite useful in FIFA 21. If you were hard-pressed for a keeper Fabianski has solid statistical return for investment and he offers extra value as an 84-rated in-form player which can be extremely useful for player Squad Building Challenges as it ticks multiple requirements while being from the Premier League.
If you see the Polish keeper pop out of your weekend rewards as your best player, you’ll probably be punching the air, but for team building, performance (on paper) and usability, West Ham’s shot-stopper would be a welcomed addition to many FUT teams across the world.
