Another International break causes the Premier League and West Ham to come to a halt, but where are some Hammers off to?

Many West Ham players have been called up by their national sides and will be competing in international competitions all around the world. Hammers are about to take part in World Cup Qualifiers, UEFA Nations League and African Cup of Nation matches. Fans will just be hoping they don’t pick up any injuries.

Star player Declan Rice will link-up with the Three Lions for their matches against the Republic of Ireland Belgium and Iceland should it go ahead. The match against Ireland will be the first for Rice since he switched allegiance in 2019, an act he received death threats for.

Darren Randolph will be on the other side of things for the Republic of Ireland when they take on England. The keeper will then take on Wales and Denmark as Ireland hope to avoid relegation from their Nations League group.

Another pair of Hammers are set to take on one another during this period. Lukasz Fabianski and Andriy Yarmolenko will be competitors as Poland and Ukraine go head to head in a friendly match. Poland will then turn to their Nations League fixtures against Italy and Netherlands.

Yarmolenko, on the other hand, will face equally tough fixtures against Germany and Switzerland, which are both away matches. Should Ukraine pull off victories in both games, then they will qualify for the Nations League finals.

The Czech duo of Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal will remain teammates as they were both recalled by the Czech Republic national side. The former SK Slavia Prague players will be going up against Germany in a friendly match before continuing their Nations League campaign. The Czech’s have to play against Scotland and Slovakia, and wins could push them to the top of their table.

Said Benrahma and Sebastien Haller will both be competing in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. Benrahma will join up with Algeria for the first time since becoming a Hammer. The 25-year-old will be taking on Zimbabwe home and away. Whereas, Haller received his first call-up for the Ivory Coast and will be playing home and away ties against Madagascar.

Fabian Balbuena will again be making the journey to South America to team up with Paraguay. The defender will be continuing his 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign with Paraguay against Argentina and Bolivia.

Arthur Masuaku and Angelo Ogbonna were set to be called-up up again by Italy and DR Congo. But they will not be travelling away due to Ogbonna’s injury and Masuaku’s commitment to his West Ham career.
