West Ham Manager David Moyes Nominated For Manager Of The Month
West Ham manager David Moyes has joined Pablo Fornals in receiving a nomination for a monthly Premier League award.
The Scottish manager has been nominated for Premier League Manager of the Month. West Ham had a great October considering the level of opponents they were up against. The Hammers recorded one win, two draws and one loss for the month.
The actual record does not seem overly impressive. Still, when the fixtures were against Leicester City, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool, not many people would bet on West Ham to pick up eight points and finish the month with a positive goal difference.

The Hammers went into October on a run of two losses. The first had been a disappointing defeat to Newcastle at the London Stadium. The second was a 2-1 loss to Arsenal, though the level of performance was better. Many fans were expecting the club to be entering November with zero points and to be in the relegation zone.
David Moyes was then absent form the last game of September against Wolves after testing positive for COVID-19. The Hammers guided by Moyes by telephone and Alan Irvine smashed Wolves 4-0. This playing style continued into October.
The Irons won their first game of the month against Leicester 3-0 at the King Power Stadium. Moyes was still absent at this point, but he returned to the dugout for the match against Tottenham.
The Hammers went 3-0 down inside the first sixteen minutes before a late comeback made history. Manuel Lanzini‘s goal fired the scores level, and Moyes was jubilant after all of his substitutes made a positive impact.
Moyes’ men took this fearless attitude into the match against Manchester City and earned a draw against Pep Guardiola‘s side. The unbeaten run of four games did come to an end away to Liverpool after the reds fought back after going behind to a Pablo Fornals strike.
Moyes will be going up against Ralph Hasenhutt, Jose Mourinho, Dean Smith and Nuno Espirito Santo for the award. Overall, it was a very positive month for the Hammers and David Moyes, who currently sit 14th in the Premier League ahead of the match against Fulham.
