West Ham Look To Continue Impressive Record Against Fulham
By Louis Pye
West Ham has had many bogey teams of their own down the years, but in Fulham, they have a team in which the tables often turn for them.
Alongside one of the West Ham’s three FA Cup victories being over the Cottagers, they have an impressive record against the west London club in recent times.
In their last 22 meetings in the Premier League, West Ham has won 13 whilst losing just three – giving them a 59% win rate within that timeframe.
This record includes a double over Fulham in the 2018/2019 season – a 2-0 win at Craven Cottage followed by a 3-1 victory at London Stadium before a subsequent relegation for the Cottagers.

They are now back in the top-flight, however, and this time managed by a familiar figure to all Irons fans – three-time Hammer of the Year Scott Parker.
The 40-year-old broke many a heart when he jumped ship from West Ham to Tottenham following the Hammers relegation from the Premier League in 2011, and many have still not forgiven him, but what can’t be denied are his efforts in a claret and blue shirt during his 129 appearances for the club.
On Saturday, though, he will be behind enemy lines as his Fulham side look to get back-to-back wins as they came out on top against Slaven Bilic’s West Brom to earn their first win of the season.
The Hammers, despite narrowly losing their last game against Liverpool at Anfield, have proved that they can compete with the best teams in the league, but in Fulham, they now face a different kind of challenge.
For the first time since the opening fixture of the campaign against Newcastle, West Ham will be favourites heading into the game, a tag that they may not be so comfortable with. That match against the Magpies was a defeat, but David Moyes will be looking to make sure that it was a one-off, having turned around the club’s form since then.
If the Hammers want to continue their formidable record against the Cottagers, they will have to be on top of their game and display the fighting spirit that they have done so in recent weeks, as Parker will be sure to make his Fulham side leave everything on the pitch.
