West Ham look to avenge last year’s unlucky loss at Anfield and extend their unbeaten run in the league to five matches.
Last year West Ham were on the losing side at Anfield after two late goals from Liverpool. But this season there is a lot more positivity around the club then there was last year. This season the Hammers are on a four-game unbeaten run and Liverpool.
Justin: Liverpool 2-1 West Ham United
West Ham provided the shock of the weekend by holding Manchester City to one goal at home. The Hammers are unbeaten in their last four league matches and have looked extremely solid at the back, minus the first half against Spurs.
David Moyes’ side can be a bit confident as Liverpool have gotten bit by the injury bug. Thiago, Naby Keita, and Joel Matip are all in doubt for the match while Fabinho and Virgil van Dijk have both been ruled out.
However, the Hammers are also set to face the next few matches with a key injury as utility-man turned striker Michail Antonio is set to miss the match at Anfield.
Furthermore, the Liverpool attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah, and Roberto Firmino is one of the best in the world. The three world-class players have combined for eleven goals and three assists in the Premier League so far this season.
I do hope West Ham will put on a good show and give Liverpool a run for their money. I do not want to see a 3-0 or 4-0 blowout. This is as good of a time as any to play Liverpool and I think we do score, but I do not see how we can contain the front three of Liverpool enough to get a result.
Scott: Liverpool 2-0 West Ham United
West Ham have been in good form and Liverpool have been stuttering, but I still think the Champions will have too much about them over the match for the Hammers.
Key injuries to Liverpool have hurt their charge but the loss of Michail Antonio for West Ham will mean they lose a lot on the counter and probably their main chance of securing an upset.
Liverpool’s attack is still world-class and they’ll have too much for the Hammers I expect.
Adam: Liverpool 2-2 West Ham United
Despite defensive problems for Liverpool, the reigning Champions still have enough firepower to push the Irons to the very brink of what will prove to be a difficult match. Not having Van Dijk is massive and surely will be a boost to the Hammers, but the loss of Michail Antonio would rival this for each team respectively.
Whoever starts up top for the Hammers will have to run hard for 90 minutes and push the young, inexperienced centre-back they are up against to actually force some errors. If this is Haller, it has the potential to be a statement game. Tough one and too close to call.

The Hammers are now on a four-match unbeaten run, but with the news that Michail Antonio is out for this match, I can see that coming to an end.
Don’t get me wrong, a loss against the champions would have been likely anyway, but the thought of Antonio coming up against their makeshift defence would have given us hope.
Instead, while I still rate Sebastien Haller, he doesn’t offer the same attributes. He will likely be left isolated as Liverpool dominate the ball, whilst offering no pace or running in behind on the chances that we do get to break.
I think we will score at some point, but with the likes of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah at their disposal, the Reds will ultimately have too much firepower for us on the day.
Noah: Liverpool 1-1 West Ham United
A tough match for Liverpool sandwiched in between two champions league matches. I think West Ham keep their good form going and the back 5 keeps Liverpool’s attack in check.
Jeff: Liverpool 3-3 West Ham United
With Michael Antonio officially ruled out for this match, all eyes will be on Sebastian Haller, assuming that’s who David Moyes calls on as the replacement. If Moyes goes in another direction, all eyes will still be on Haller and the questions it brings if the manager doesn’t choose him.
With the defensive injuries to Liverpool and this being their 4th match in 10 days, now is as good of a time as any for West Ham to get a result. However, the Reds always seem to find a way to win at Anfield and are unbeaten in sixty-two straight home matches.
Take West Ham’s positive (+4 goal) difference. Add Liverpool’s defensive woes and all their world-class attackers to the mix, and there figure to be many goals. If West Ham can finish their chances without Antonio playing, it could be a good night in Liverpool. West Ham earns a point with a scoreline of 3-3.
It is a strange one with so many predicting a relatively positive performance for the Hammers. Usually, when the club travels to Anfield only a loss is normally expected, but maybe this time the outcome may be different.
