If the Hammers star striker were to miss out due to injury for the Irons upcoming matches, here is how David Moyes could lineup his squad.

After another fantastic performance from the West Ham earning a well-deserved point in a 1-1 draw with Manchester City, star man Michail Antonio came off with an injury scare. Antonio has been absolutely crucial to the Hammers recent success and would be a huge loss for the team going forward.

Without Antonio at his disposal, David Moyes will have to make some crucial decisions about how he wants to set up his attack going forward. Here are some potential options Moyes could go with.

1. Fornals – Haller – Bowen

This is probably the safest pick for how the Hammers could lineup against Liverpool next weekend. Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen have been in great form this season, and it would be up to Sebastien Haller to get into the groove of playing week in and out. If Haller could use his size and strength to hold the ball up, Bowen and Fornals should be able to get at the Liverpool backline with some dashing runs.

Although there are some concerns about Haller’s work ethic, he should realize that this could be his opportunity to really show the fan-base that he is willing and able to have a future with this club. It will be a massive opportunity for him.

2. Benrahma – Bowen – Fornals

This lineup would be very interesting and would hand a much-anticipated debut to new signing Said Benrahma. Moving Bowen into the centre of the pitch may seem bold to many fans due to his effectiveness cutting in on his left, but if Moyes feels as though Haller cannot be trusted then this lineup may be the way to go.

Fornals switching from the right to the left should not be a huge issue for him, and you want to give Benrahma an opportunity to cut in on his deadly right foot. This would be very exciting for West Ham fans!

3. Benrahma – Haller – Bowen

Although setting up with this front three would be incredibly harsh on Pablo Fornals, Moyes could head in this direction if he wants to hand the new boy his club debut, along with making sure we have a true striker on the pitch.

Keeping Bowen on his favoured left side could be huge, along with having the skill and pace on the wings that would be able to supply Haller with great service throughout the match. Another interesting option for sure!

Regardless of how Moyes decides to line the West Ham attack up for Liverpool, the three front players will be tasked with picking up what Antonio has brought to the table so far this season.
