West Ham continue their terrific form against stiff competition with a well-earned 1-1 draw. It took every player buying in to make it happen – here are the player ratings.

Lukasz Fabianski – 9/10: The Polish keeper was on his game today, constantly attacking every aerial ball into his area and coordinating his defenders well. The goal against was very tidy but begged for a hand to palm it away. His save on Mahrez and Sterling saved the match.

Vladimir Coufal – 7/10: A strong start was knocked off balance by a superb match from Joao Cancelo who skinned the Czech defender for the goal against. He needs to stay tighter to his man, but his perfect cross to assist Antonio boosts his score.

Fabian Balbuena – 7/10: The uneasiness of Balbuena during flowing attacks is completely calmed by his ability to knock down just about any aerial ball in his area. He needed to pick up Foden on the tying goal, but the final ten minutes from him were exceptional.

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

Angelo Ogbonna – 8/10: The defensive captain for West Ham was predictably solid yet again, despite a few errors. The best part about Ogbonna is his resilience and desire to get back and clean up his own mess.

Aaron Cresswell – 8/10: Believe it or not, there is no agenda against Cresswell here! He played well today and the highlight of his game was actually a defensive play where he tackled Mahrez to save a sure goal. Great match from him.

Arthur Masuaku – 9/10: All hail King Arthur! West Ham’s best wingback and dribbling dynamo had a ridiculously strong match. His best play may have been some slick dribbling but he also kept Mahrez and Walker quiet all game long. Two-way player.

Declan Rice – 9/10: The Talisman of Moyes’ team, Declan Rice was yet again near-perfect against a world-class midfield from Manchester City. He played defender very well but again proved that the hate against his game going forward is all a myth.

Tomas Soucek – 8/10: Just slightly off of his partner’s pace, Soucek was great in the air in this match but failed to have more of an impact in the attacking third where he can pop up. Steady as ever from the Czech.

Jarrod Bowen – 8/10: Effort was incredible against from Bowen in this match, crushing it up and down the right flank against City. It was a tough task to try and breakdown this opponent, but Bowen brought the spark that created the goal and many further chances.

Michail Antonio – 9/10: How can you not love a centre-forward banging an overhead kick against a towering opponent? Antonio was exactly as advertised in this match, playing solo for much of the game. Hopefully, his injury isn’t too serious.

Pablo Fornals – 8/10: Fornals was on the hot seat after Lanzini showed his desire to get into the first team but Fornals echoed Bowen’s efforts and instigated plenty of Hammers chances on Ederson’s goal.

The substitutions in this match were atrocious in this match, with Andriy Yarmolenko replacing Antonio and Sebastien Haller replacing Jarrod Bowen. Haller cannot play the Antonio role, but even with the ball at his feet failed to make much of his chances in this match.

Antonio stunner earns West Ham deserved draw against City. dark. Next

Yarmolenko had one of the worst performances from a substitute we’ve seen. His ball back sent Sterling in on goal alone and his link-up play saw the sideline more than a teammate. Not the best from the Ukrainian, especially with Benrahma lurking for a bench position.
