With Declan Rice on international duty for England once again, he is the most recent of West Ham players to have represented the three lions while at the club.

To view the first Iron to have featured for England, you would have to go all the way back 109 years to 1911, where a deep-rooted history between West Ham and England began.

The Hammers have since had a significant tradition with the England international scene, with the 1966 World Cup win at Wembley being closely associated with a certain West Ham trio.

Those legends of the distant past, along with some lesser revered names in more recent years, means that the total number of Irons players to feature in an England shirt adds up to a grand total of forty-two, making the cockney boys the 11th most represented club in regards to England.

Hopefully, with the aid and the re-emergence of the academy of football, further Hammers can follow in the footsteps of Declan Rice and it won’t be too long before the irons shoot up that list into the top 10 and claim their place amongst the elite.

Here we have made a quiz to test your knowledge on this subject matter. We challenge you to name every one of those forty-two West Ham players who have represented the three lions but with the added pressure of being timed.

There are some obvious names to get, with one even being mentioned at the start of this article, but as you sink deeper into the quiz the players will undoubtedly become more difficult to remember, whilst some may be so far back that you may need to ask your grandparents for some help.

The years played and the number of caps while at West Ham will be added to make your life a little easier.
