After a dominant performance against Norwich City, many West Ham fans want the XI to be unchanged when for the vital Watford game on Friday.

After a fantastic 4-0 performance against Norwich this past weekend, it is very understandable why many West Ham fans want the same lineup in place for another big game against Watford.

The Hammers are coming off arguably their best performance all season, and the XI that started the Norwich match were all outstanding. However, I believe that David Moyes should strongly consider making one change to the side that relegated Norwich City.

Although Aaron Cresswell played well in the previous match, Arthur Masuaku should be considered to start in the left-back role against Watford. Masuaku, although a bit worse off defensively than Cresswell, can make up for it with his pace, skill, and delivery into the box from the left-hand side.

One of the more dangerous players on this Watford side is rapid Senegalese Winger Ismaïla Sarr. Cresswell has struggled against fast and physical wingers in the past and could have some issues dealing with Sarr. Masuaku would have the pace to counter Sarr and could force him to drop into a deeper defensive position due to the danger he possesses while the Hammers are in attack.

Although this West Ham side is usually set up to defend well and counter, the Irons could really do some serious damage to Watford’s back-line. Having Masuaku in the side would pose an even greater attacking threat, and the Hammers could really set up to go for the Hornets right from the first minute of the match.

If West Ham gets all three points against Watford this Friday, they will set themselves up really well to stay up this season. If David Moyes is serious about attacking Watford and going for their throats, Arthur Masuaku should come into the side and deliver the final blow that should see the Hammers stay in the Premier League.
