Hunting Villains: Which Players Should West Ham Sign From Aston Villa?
With the Premier League’s Project Restart starting soon and the threat of relegation becoming a reality for Aston Villa. If the Villains were to go down, West Ham could take advantage and bring some talent over.
West Ham has endured a tough season themselves but currently find themselves out of the drop zone on goal difference. If the Hammer’s do survive it is believed that a lot of current players could face the chop.
The Coronavirus Pandemic has caused financial strife across the football world. West Ham is no exception and will need to offload some high earners come to the Transfer window. David Moyes could get rid of player’s such as Carlos Sanchez, Pablo Zabaleta, Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere and Winston Reid and a few more all face uncertain futures.
It has even been suggested that some of the clubs most recognised players might be sold in order to cover the financial strain caused by the virus. Big-name players like Sébastien Haller, Issa Diop and Felipe Anderson have all been linked with moves.
With all these likely departures, the Hammers will have to bring in some quality replacements. One good place to look is at the teams relegated from the Premier League, and Aston Villa certainly has a few gems West Ham should look at pinching.
Now I would love to include Jack Grealish in this list as he is an amazing player. The young-Englishman is far more likely to end up at Manchester United than West Ham.
