The transfer rumour mill is in full swing since football has been put on hold due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Most rumours lead to nothing more than a couple of articles and speculative tweets, but the Metro is reporting enquiries for attacker Serhou Guirassy have been made by West Ham.

West Ham has been joined by London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea in making their enquiry into the forward’s availability. Guirassy has had a decent season at SC Amiens, the forward has scored nine goals and assisted one in 23 appearances in Ligue 1.

Guirassy is tall forward standing at 187cms tall and capable of scoring at a respectful rate of nearly one in every two games. What makes the Frenchman’s record better is that he was playing at SC Amiens who have struggled all season. In fact, SC Amiens have been relegated due to the early end to Ligue 1, a fate West Ham are hoping to avoid.

The 24-year-old would hopefully have a good connection with current Hammer Sebastian Haller due to them both being French. Many West Ham fans have been calling for the club to play Haller with a supporting forward. This argument was evident during Manuel Pellegrini and at times David Moyes’ terms as managers.

West Ham has reportedly been interested in Guirassy since January at least. Le 10 Sport in France reported that the Hammers were trying to sign the striker in January. Le 10 Sport has also suggested that negotiations have started between the clubs again.
