As per usual, the transfer rumors continue to implode and this time it is that West Ham is interested in Alexis Sanchez.

One of our West Ham partner accounts, Hammers Polls, sent out a tweet yesterday simply asking, Alexis Sanchez? There have been rumors and gossip that the Hammers brass has reached out to either him or the club about his future. Although the rumors are doubtful since there are far more concerning aspects to life right now, it’s worth looking in to.

The poll, inserted below, and linked here has just over 250 votes as I write this with the NO option winning 67.1% over it being a YES. Now, as mentioned before and not to completely dispel a rumor but with his wages and the complicity of his current loan deal at Inter, things just seem off.

The out of want striker has been on the fringes ever since transferring to Manchester United back in 2018 from Arsenal. This season in Serie A he has played in 10 matches, scoring once and assisting twice. The Chilean international also doesn’t fit the mold of what David Moyes wants for his new transfers so once again, it just doesn’t make sense.

Just for clarity, we voted no and about the only reason this would make sense is due to the fact that the Hammers do need another striker. Sanchez can be that as well as a fill-in winger on either end but that is where the real need would end.

They certainly don’t need that transfer fee with what little they may get this season, the wage fees would be outrageous, and well… do West Ham want another attacker with attitude issues? No, this seems just more like a move that you would see on FIFA or Football Manager, not real life.

dark. Next. West Ham set for defining battle of the midfielders

As with every rumor that is abounding the Twitter feeds and newspaper headlining articles, just leave it be what it’s going to be… a rumor. Nobody in their right mind is out shopping for talent at this time and there should be no way that they Hammers even look at this depleting asset.
