The constant struggle between fans and the board of West Ham needs to be addressed before the start of next season. It is a difficult situation, but if the current hierarchy is to stay then they need to adhere to some of the fans’ wishes to prove that they are there to support the club.

This can be done by bringing forward work on the London Stadium, the squaring off of the lower stands is a must. There are also arguments for more club branding and the changing of the seats from white to the club’s colours, this would definitely help the stadium feel more like home. David Gold and David Sullivan would also improve the relationship with the fans if they do properly invest in the squad.

This success of next season won’t be built around buying a huge star that scores twenty-five goals but having better players in the unglamorous positions. These players may not sell the most shirts and can still cost a lot but are just as crucial for a team to succeed, something the owners need to learn, quickly.

The other option Sullivan and Gold sell up and hopefully, the buyer is the dream owner West Ham fans have been waiting for. This person being someone that understands the club and can take it forward and up towards the top of the footballing world.

This is unlikely to happen, and the other way the ownership changes is to be sold to Red Bull and become a franchise club. A lot about West Ham would be forgotten, but the club could become the first of its kind in England and would be part of a brilliant infrastructure that Red Bull has.

Hopefully, these things will be addressed and the West Ham that was promised before the move to the London Stadium can finally come to fruition.
