Just at a time when Pablo Fornals was at peaking for West Ham, he’s gone missing. Coincidently, this is when the Hammers need him the most as well. So, what has happened?

After a few matches had come and gone in the second coming of David Moyes and still West Ham hadn’t seen the likes of Pablo Fornals coincidental rumors starting flying around. Now, well into the second of month of the Gaffer’s reign, it’s just truth.

It’s understandable that many coaches around the EPL and the world for that matter, have their players that they like and rate and others, that they don’t. This case, however, is majorly confusing because Fornals was coming into his own and really gelling in the midfield.

So far this season the Spaniard had played in 24 matches scoring once and assisting 2 times and somewhat predominantly playing in some sort of center midfield type of role. Since the hire of Moyes, he has only played on the outside and has only started once. All this, of course, came before his complete no-show Wednesday against City.

Leading up to the Moyes rehire, Fornals had just scored or assisted in 4 of the previous 6 matches and had seen significant time on the pitch. His confidence was clearly growing and he looked to be getting used to the EPL. But just like that, gone… really with very little trace at all.

West Ham ITK and all-around good lad, ExWHUemployee, posted this tweet late last evening turning the speculation into even deeper consideration that Moyes simply doesn’t see Fornals as a viable option.

The reasons as to why haven’t come out and most assuredly probably won’t because Moyes will never give very clear answers in any presser he attends. The Scot has done this in the past as he never really liked Chichartio in his previous stint as the Hammers top man.

This is very much just speculation that Moyes doesn’t rate Fornals but why wouldn’t he? From the outside looking in, his personality seems good, he loves being in London ( just look at his IG feed), and he’s been in top form… so why?

Whatever the case is, clearly it’s not helping the depleting Hammers as they are deep down on the league table and starting to lean toward relegation. Now more than ever they need some that can energize the midfield and give the attack someone to play along with because if not, the outlook of relegation is getting more and more real.
