More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

West Ham United’s left-back position has caused just as many issues as the right side. Arthur Masuaku has many defensive frailties, he most recently showed this in the Brighton match on Saturday, when he was at fault for the Seagull’s second goal. The Hammer’s other option Aaron Cresswell has been inconsistent since his bad knee injury a few years ago.

The ex-Real Madrid left-back, Fábio Coentrão could help the Hammer’s in till the end of the season, the same way Abate could help the right side. The Portuguese full-back had a very promising start to his career until it was curtailed by injury.

Despite those issues, Coentrão managed 25 goals and 41 assists in his career. The 31-year-old is very versatile and can play anywhere on the left side of the team. Coentrão could still do a decent job for the Hammers until the end of the season and get his own career back on track.
