Relegation is a real threat, fans are turning quickly, and no one seems to want to play for West Ham but if they can get an FA Cup victory, oh how the tides could turn.
West Ham takes on West Brom tomorrow in the next round of the FA Cup and many a familiar face will be on the pitch for this one. The return of Slaven Bilic brings back a flood of memories that only begin to tell the current demise surrounding the Hammers.
However, taking the opposition, the connections, and the outside influences away, all you have is a Hammers side that hasn’t played at all really and is staring down the barrel of the relegation zone. But the FA Cup always brings magic and excitement and could be the perfect turning point for the Hammers.
Ask any West Ham fan and they will tell you that they will bite your arm off for a side that plays well, with heart, and for the badge. The current lackluster, dare I say pompous outputs of “performances” have been nowhere near what is needed to win, let alone win against a strong side.

This turnaround and chance to turn the course comes down to David Moyes’ preparation and the West Ham players performing at the needed level. But can they do it? And if they can, who will lead the charge?
A few names that pop into mind would be the likes of Declan Rice, Sebastien Haller, and maybe Robert Snodgrass but the real unsung hero and lifeline for the Hammers currently needs to be Michail Antonio.
It is going to take a team effort but behind the pace and overall aggressiveness of Miggy, I think you will easily see the entire squad ignite with the same fire and passion. One player usually can’t win you the match but he can definitely turn the heads and hearts of a failing side around.
West Ham United needs this win like a heart needs a beat and if by some chance they can spoil the reunion tour and move on to the next round of the cup, well then for at least one day all will be well in East London. Until then, COME ON YOU IRONS!
