In the first match under “new” manager David Moyes, the Hammers looked like a completely different team, especially in attack.

It could not have gone better for David Moyes in his first game back at the London Stadium. For the first time in over a month, the West Ham players looked hungry and ready to fight. Declan Rice controlled the midfield, Mark Noble scored 2 crucial goals, and the Irons attack was on fire as they cruised to a 4-0 win over a poor Bournemouth side.

But for this fan, the player who looked the most changed and re-energized under Moyes was West Ham’s struggling star man, Felipe Anderson. All West Ham fans know that when Felipe is at his best, he can be one of the top wingers in the Premier League. Prior to this match, however, Anderson was massively struggling. He had a total of zero goals in the league, along with a bunch of empty performances. He looked like a new man on Wednesday.

Anderson was taking on Bournemouth defenders, making lightning-quick runs, and carrying the ball up the field with a pace and intensity that I had not previously seen when Manuel Pellegrini was the manager. It was a fantastic performance from the Brazilian that ended with a beautiful goal off of a fantastic ball from Declan Rice.

It was such an incredible sight to see Felipe finally playing at a high level. If Anderson could constantly have performances similar to the Bournemouth match, then the Hammers will fly up the table in the coming months. You could see how much more comfortable Haller and Fornals looked when Anderson really took control of the match. I think with Anderson on his game, the Irons can score a ton of goals this season under David Moyes’s watch.

Although it was only one match, Felipe Anderson and all of West Ham’s attackers showed how special and exciting this squad can potentially be. There is a large amount of talent and money invested in the attack, and if deployed properly, they have shown that they can put out performances that make us proud to support this great club.

Next. West Ham: Relive every goal from yesterday’s win against Bournemouth. dark

It was a fantastic performance from the team, and hopefully, many more great performances will come under David Moyes’s watch. Enjoy this one Hammers fans.
