Bournemouth heads to East London for the reverse fixture of this match against West Ham United. The last time out was dull but this one could bring some flair!

The reason for the flair you ask? David Moyes of course and hopefully a new and heart full West Ham team. As the squad gets ready for there first match of the new year, we give you our thoughts on the upcoming match.

West Ham 3-1 Bournemouth

In the second, first, match for David Moyes as the Hammers manager, we will see some fight. A slow start that will keep the Hammers on the edge will soon turn to glory in the second half of the match.

Eddie Howe’s side will continue to be a dominant, well-rounded side but I think the Hammers will come out with a newly found vengeance. Goals from Haller, Antonio, and Noble will be the difference in this one. Both the New Year and Moyesey’s return will kick off with a bang for the Hammers.

West Ham 4-2 Bournemouth

Moyes’ debut is going to BOMB out of the gate with a repression free team that actually has direction! Look for Felipe Anderson to channel prime Arnautovic, look for Sebastien Haller to replicate Andy Carroll with braids in his hair, and look for Mark Noble to be the Canning Town Pirlo, bossing the midfield.

In all seriousness, I do believe a reaction is coming from the players, whose efforts just got one of the most respected Premier League managers sacked. Their top-flight lives are on the line and three points is a must. Big win incoming… I hope.

West Ham 2-1 Bournemouth

Well new manager, new year, new Club? Maybe. Who knows. Bournemouth has been a tough side in recent years, but they are also struggling. Moyes has ground out results in the past and lost heavily at other times, so I have no idea how he’ll fare straight out the gates.

But I do like that most players will know him already, and the squad is in better shape than his previous tenure. So I have hope, West Ham to scrape a 2-1 win and start 2020 with three points and a hopeful outlook.

West Ham 1-1 Bournemouth

Will we see a reaction from the players? One would hope so, but in such a short space of time, they still may need time to get used to David Moyes and his demands.

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

I think the effort may be evident, but the confidence that has been drained over the last three months will still be lurking in the shadows – resulting in a cagey affair.

Bournemouth isn’t doing much better, sitting just one point above us in 16th, with their only bright spark recently being their away win at Chelsea. Sounds familiar.

It will be interesting to see what formation Moyes opts for, whether that be his trusted 5-4-1 formation that he nailed down last time he was in charge in east London, or perhaps a system with two upfront to get the best out of Seb Haller.

Either way, it can’t get much worse than Manuel Pellegrini’s final few games. Can it?

Next. A marquee matchup for West Ham and Moyes. dark

Three wins and a draw from us against the team just above us in the table. Ambitious? Maybe… Realistic? Possibly but hey who honestly knows what’ll happen but until then, COME ON YOU IRONS!
