The busy part of the season is upon us as West Ham looks towards their second match in 5 days. Up next for the Hammers is Wolves away in a matchup that looks to be tough either way you look at it.

For West Ham, they need to keep the momentum going and for Wolves, they need to get it going again with 2 back to back draws. In an anything goes type of match, the GSH staff get together to try to guess the future.

West Ham 2-1 Wolves

I’m not fully sold on the fact that West Ham is back to their winning ways but timing helps. Timing in the fact that it’s a short week against a Wolves side that isn’t deep in-depth and just had a tough run out against Sheffield.

The Hammers will keep the momentum up by quickly coming out to a lead brought to you by either Sebastien Haller or Pablo Fornals. Wolves are going to put up a tough fight but I think the East London side will have enough juice in the tank to hold off this pacey attack get 6 points in just 5 days!

Adam

West Ham 2-2 Wolves

Call me crazy but the momentum earned against Chelsea will be used to propel West Ham to a point at least from Wolves. Coming off short rest, Nuno’s high-octane attacking team may be worn down from a demanding match against Sheffield United. Goals will be there in this match, but can the Hammers match Raul Jiminez, Adama Traore, and Diogo Jota?

Look for a changed Irons XI as well in this match, reliant on midfielders to support a possible striker duo. Michail Antonio cannot play Saturday – Wednesday – Monday on his recently rehabbed hamstring. Will Haller show up with the spotlight on him?

Scott

West Ham 1-1 Wolves

Well, I thought it was going to be a weekend of doom and gloom for the Hammers but a win against Chelsea showed what we could do. However, I do have my doubts about whether we can back it up in a quick turnaround as we look to move into the top half of the table before Christmas. But Wolves have already played a lot this season and we could get a result at a tricky venue…as long as we continue with the energy seen at the weekend.

Whilst players did actually perform, the most obvious change was a real ramp-up in the desire to get on the ball and get in the faces of the opposition. If we can push again, then I think we’re going to come away with another good away result.

West Ham 1-0 Wolves

This will no doubt be one of the Hammer’s toughest matches of the season. Coming off a huge victory, the Irons will need to refocus and get ready for a talented Wolves team. I back Manuel Pellegrini’s squad to stick to winning ways, with Angelo Ogbonna scoring the only goal of the match. With Diop back in the side, the Hammers are solid defensively and come out with all three points.

Louis

West Han 1-1 Wolves

Starting off, who expected that result at Stamford Bridge? What a brilliant performance from the team and manager when we needed it most. Everyone played as a cohesive unit, and we reaped the rewards.

As for our game at Molineux, this isn’t any easier on paper. After a slow start, Wolves have slowly gathered pace and now find themselves 6th in the table – a position which we had hoped to be lingering around during this stage of the season.

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

We need to start sharp and be ready from the get-go. There’s no excuse not to do this, as we will have had an extra days rest than our opposition and more rest in general throughout the season due to their European tour.

Despite his winning goal on Saturday, I do worry about Cresswell up against the pacy Traore, and I’m not sure how we would combat that problem without replacing him with Masuaku. Despite that, I’d remain unchanged and I think Pellegrini will concur. A draw would be a good result off the back of the Chelsea win, heading into the match against Arsenal next Monday.

George

West Ham 1-1 Wolves

I think it will be 1-1. It will be very tough to go to Molineux on a Wednesday night but hopefully, the Chelsea win will boost the team’s confidence. Wolves are a good side but we should certainly be getting at least a point.

Adama Traore is one of their key players due to his pace, therefore it might be a good idea to play Masuaku at LW to have 2 players able to defend against him. Jimenez is also very dangerous so I’d stick with Saturday’s victorious CB partnership.

Next. West Ham can live or die by the cross against Wolves. dark

The staff is split but the positivity seems to be coming back up after about a 2-month lull in anything positive. Be sure to let us know what you think will happen on Wednesday at the Molineux as the Hammers look to get 3 more points.
