West Ham United fans have not had a lot to be excited about over the past 3 months but there is still a lot to be thankful for, or at least try to anyway.

As many fans will celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow, it’s time to look at some reasons to be thankful and even if you don’t like across the pond, there are still a few reasons to give thanks for our beloved West Ham United.

Still in the Premier League

West Ham has been in the top flight of English Football since they came back after winning the EFL Championship Playoff in May of 2012. It is desired and required at this point for the Hammers that they stay in the EPL in the past 7 seasons they have accomplished that “somewhat” comfortably.

After all, take a look at Stoke City. A club that was in the top flight for some time with a rich history in English Football and they are struggling in the Championship looks towards relegation. Or look at Sunderland or Blackpool, the club West Ham beat in the Playoffs. Both have been bouncing around the lower leagues with nothing good so to show from it. I’ll take where the Hammers are over that.

The Mr. West Ham

I think there was a time that everyone assumed Mark Noble would be a career West Ham player but if you go back a few years nobody would’ve guessed that he would’ve ended up like this. It’s true, West Ham fans, players, and backroom staff need Mark Noble just as much as he needs them.

There have been many matches and times where if Nobes was missing the club has been missing. Take this current run of form out the equation because not even Billy Bonds  or Bobby Moore could help fix what is currently going on at the club. We need to be thankful for his mentorship as well, without him grooming and pushing Declan Rice and other young players around him, I doubt they would be where they are today.

Misery Loves Company

The third and final reason to be thankful for this holiday season is for each other. West Ham live and die solely on its self. The fans need the club just as much as we need them and without the fans, this dream of top 6 and European nights honestly wouldn’t be possible without support and love from the fans.

Yes, this club is run by billionaires and the squad is all millionaires, but without the love and support from its blue-collar community, West Ham would not be what it is today. Plus, we have each other to lean on in times of trouble which has been currently happening as of late. In short, this is most likely the biggest reason to be thankful in that we have each other and together for West Ham.

Next. How have Pellegrini's signings panned out?. dark

Times are bleak at the moment and sitting just one spot above the relegation zone doesn’t calm minds down. Regardless of what happens over the next week or so we have a lot to be thankful for as the club could be in a much worse state then it currently is. Be thankful and COME ON YOU IRONS!
