West Ham United are on a four-game winless streak. Only having notched 2 points in that 4 game span, can there be room for positivity? Can there be a way out of the clubs current state of darkness?

To find out what the current state of depression West Ham fans are currently in, you don’t have to dig much deeper than Twitter or any other social media search engine. After only getting 2 points in the previous 4 matches it can be hard for anyone to be positive.

However, West Ham fans, what if there is a way to regain that positivity and excitement that was there just under a month ago? With a squad player getting a new life, some more favorable matches coming up, and a new frontman in the making, it’s time to liven up this Claret and Blue Army once more.

Robert McMessi Snodgrass given a new life

When the teamsheets came out for Saturday’s match against Sheffield United many were surprised to see Robert Snodgrass with his name in the starting XI. The surprise quickly turned to excitement as the Scotsman scored just before the half to give the Hammers a lead.

When he was taken on towards the end of the match he seemed upset at the call but none the less, he went off to a stand ovation. McMessi is back and needs to start this weekend in order to give the Hammers continued new life as he has been giving it as well. Oh and by the way, did you see what he had to say about West Ham?

Favorable Matchups

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

West Ham faces off against Newcastle this weekend and then head to Burnley for the next weekend. Obviously not a lot needs said about the Newcastle match, the Toons are sitting in relegation and even though they have pace, they are a fairly boring side to watch.

That matchup is a must-win and after the somewhat positives from the previous match I.E. Snoddy, Anderson, and Roberto, it should continue to get better. As for the Burnley away match, that might be tough but once again, but they haven’t looked the same at home this season.

The only thing missing from this West Ham side is consistent passing. Many will assume that Pellegrini will turn in a masterclass week of training and get the lads ready to pass up, in, and around both Newcastle and Burnley.

New up and coming forwards

The name Anthony Scully probably rings a bell as he has been lights out for the PL2 side this season. The midfield that has converted to forward has scored a plethora of goals and is continuing to look red-hot.

As for his new counterpart, Mipo Odubeko, who just recently signed from Manchester United, he is something to look out for. Odubeko scored 35 times last season for United’s U18 squad and was highly sought after from many other clubs. Give it a year at best, and you will see one of these names making at least the bench for the senior club.

You see, it’s all not all doom and gloom for West Ham and it shouldn’t be. Things like a 4 game winless streak happen and will get worked on. The Hammers might not be winning the Champions League anytime soon, but they will be pushing for Top 8 and with Pellegrini at the helm and good things happening with the youth, it’s an endless opportunity of what can happen.
