For both the EPL and the Championship, it’s still very early into the season. However, for 3 West Ham players that are currently on loan in the championship, things are already heating up.

Overall for West Ham, there loaned out players have been hit and miss across the board but for the likes of Cullen, Hugill, and Diangana, they have been really enjoying their time on loan so far. Not mention, that its good to see the hammers loan them out very smartly this season.

Besides Diangana the other two were perceived to have had their last run out as a Hammer’s. however, has that idea changed? To get a better view of their seasons and where they might fit, let’s break it down one by one and truly look at how these 3 are doing out on loan.

Josh Cullen

Cullen is, again, on loan at Charlton. Although he hasn’t hit pay dirt yet, he has played every minute of every match in the Championship. He is also arguably the best player on the starting XI and it poses the question as to where he might fit in a claret and blue side?

Going back to the beginning of the season, most around West Ham saw this loan move as the last time they would see him in East London. However, with his performances so far and the Hammer’s lack of depth at the CDM role, he might be slowly finding his way back home.

Jordan Hugill

Ah yes, Jordan “Bobbles” Hugill. From laughing-stock signee, to top forward in the Championship. Many will say that his home is the Championship, as it’s hard to disagree as he is tearing it up with 5 goals in 10 matches. But has he really be given the right shot at West Ham?

The jury is still out on that, but the fact is the same. Behind Haller and a still very green Ajeti, all you have is Silva. Although I doubt we will see a January recall for the English striker, I do think that if given the right shot he might prevail for the Hammers.

 Grady Diangana

There is a reason the West Brom is in first in the Championship, and besides Slaven Bilic, it has a lot to do with Grady Diangana. The West Brom loanee has been on fire, and when he has either scored or assisted, they have won.

The once unknown Academy player that got a chance due to an injury has shined once again. Just like Hugill, I don’t see Pellegrini pulling the trigger to get him back midseason but look out for next year as Diangana should be challenging for weekly playing time.

Realistically will we see all of these players starting for West Ham? Maybe not but who knows? The best sign out of all of this was at the very beginning. The Hammers have made smart decisions on where to loan out the youngsters and it has, so far, worked magically.
