As the first International Break of the season comes to a close, West Ham find themselves in 7th place in the Premier League table with 7 points. The next run of fixtures isn’t a cakewalk, but the Hammers should look to keep moving up the table in the coming weeks.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men find themselves in 7th place after the first international break. After being dismantled by Manchester City on match-day one, the Hammers have not lost a match since then. A draw at Brighton and wins against both Watford and Norwich City have the Hammers feeling good in early September. It should only get better looking forward for the Irons.

If you take a look at the Hammers next four Premier League fixtures, the Irons should be looking to pick up points in most, if not all of the matches. Aston Villa, Manchester United, Bournemouth, and Crystal Palace are certainly not easy games by any standard, but if the first 4 matches are any indication, West Ham should be able to rip these clubs defenses apart with their fully loaded and fit front 4.

Villa have struggled so far this season and find themselves in the relegation zone early on. Although Villa Park is a tough ground to play at, I think the Hammers quality will shine through and they should pick up the 3 points.

Manchester United at home is an interesting one. They have enough quality in their side to pick up the 3 points, however, with the London Stadium on their side and with an attacking mindset, I could see Pellegrini try to attack the Red Devils which would make for a very interesting match.

The next two matches against Bournemouth and Palace, are must-win matches in this year’s Premier League campaign for West Ham. If West Ham want to be competing for a European position in the table this year, 6 points from these two matches is necessary. Bournemouth and Palace do have some decent attacking options in Wilfred Zaha and Callum Wilson, however, Haller, Anderson, Lanzini, and Yarmolenko should have no problems against either sides back-line.

It has been a great start to the season for West Ham. With a bunch of winnable fixtures coming up, the Hammers could skyrocket up the table, potentially into the top-6. With all of the struggles going on at Chelsea and Tottenham at the moment, Pellegrini and the squad need to take advantage of the situation, and try and gain as many points as possible from the upcoming fixtures.
