The EPL has met its first international break after its first month in. For West Ham and FPL players, it’s time to rest and rejuvenate but until then, let’s take a look at the FPL player rankings and how the GSH classic league is holding up.

So far there has been a rise in the FPL rankings for West Ham players and it makes sense. 7 points in a month and sitting at 7th and being tied for 4th, aye David Gold? All joking aside, if you have used the right Hammers so far the fantasy season, you are probably in good shape.

The highest West Ham player for overall points is surprise, Sebastien Haller coming in at 17th overall with 23 points and still only costing £7.5 million. Rounding out the top 3 Hammers for the month of August, you will find Manuel Lanzini and Arthur Masuaku. Many, including myself, would not have seen Masuaku up this high.

For Lanzini and Masuaku, the crazy part is they are being played in less than 4% of the teams. Lanzini having 18 points and Masuaku have 15, isn’t a lot but it’s still much higher than other midfielders and defenders alike. With their prices (£6.5 and £4.5 million respectfully) they could come in as a clutch steal come next week against Aston Villa.

As we transition into The Green Street Hammers Classic League, it is important to remember hate the game, not the player in my case as I hold onto dead last in the Sacko position (insert The League reference here). However, some others are playing really well and have some very creative team names.

After the month of August the top 3 are as follows:

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

3. TristanCOYI

Owner – Tristan Samueloff

240 FPL points

2. East Pork Wednesday

Next. What can we expect from West Ham's Xande Silva?. dark

A huge congratulations to the three of you and good luck as the rest of the FLP season moves on. As for everyone else, the standings can be found here and if you are like me, use this break to learn how to play FPL. Until next month when we break out volume 2, COME ON YOUR IRONS!
