West Ham have secured the signature of Eintracht Frankfurt Striker Sébastien Haller for a club-record fee. With Manuel Pellegrini seemingly adding the final piece to his complete squad revolution, all eyes will be on the Hammers this season as they look to achieve something great.

Hammers fans get excited because this upcoming season is going to be a wild ride. Chelsea and Arsenal are as unstable as ever at the moment. Manchester United seem to be in complete limbo as well. The top half of the Premier League table for next season has not been this up for grabs in years. Enter new West Ham record signing Sébastien Haller.

Haller had an incredible campaign last season with Eintracht Frankfurt. The Frenchman scored 20 goals and added 12 assists in 39 matches, an incredible mark. His link-up play and passing is superb as well and should help the Hammers add some fluidity into the attack. Haller is being credited for the incredible season his former teammate Luka Jovic enjoyed, who is now off to Real Madrid in a monstrous deal as well.

Haller is the final piece of Manuel Pellegrini’s complete squad overhaul. West Ham is loaded with attacking talent from top to bottom, and there is seemingly no doubt that Haller will thrive at the London Stadium. The Hammers had to fend off late interest from Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan. Both clubs will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season, which shows you the kind of talent Haller truly is. To be honest, a lot of football fans are shocked by the move and thought Haller had the talent and physical traits to move to a much larger club. The Pellegrini effect in full force!

Whether any of the top clubs in the Premier League, believe it or not, The Irons will bring out one of the most lethal attacks in all of England next season. Although Haller did pair up with some great players at Frankfurt, such as Jovic or Ante Rebic, I think he will be surrounded by more talent in East London. Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini, and new signing Pablo Fornals are only a few of many attacking players that the Hammers can bring out on a given match-day to terrorize opposing back-lines. It will definitely be interesting to see what Pellegrini’s first-choice lineup will be.

After a summer that seemingly felt like an endless chase for Valencia Striker Maxi Gomez, the Hammers should be commended for this deal. They missed out on Gomez but immediately worked on finding a replacement, and many would argue that Haller levels above Gomez as a Striker at the current time. This signing feels like a message to the Premier League that West Ham have ambition this year, and will try and push into a European position in the table. Sébastien Haller certainly will help with this goal.
