The bulk of the West Ham squad is in Austria ahead of their preseason match with SCR Altach. While day three has just concluded it seems like the lads are enjoying being back with each other.

Nothing like a heavy beat and super serious training footage to get you pumped up and motivated for another West Ham preseason, right? The media team, even though reigned in under Manuel Pellegrini, have made a solid update video titled “West Ham in Switzerland” and it looks awesome.

Interesting thumbnail though, (left to right) Sam Byram likely gone to West Brom, a coach, Joe Powell likely off on loan, Jack Wilshere back and motivated for a solid season, Jordan Hugill our only striker, Mr. West Ham, a healthy Andriy Yarmolenko, and U23 keeper Joseph Anang.

Speaking of Yarmolenko here is is beating then celebrating on top of Michail Antonio in two-touch:

When he yells out “beat you again” you can hear a gassed “No!” followed by laughter from Michail Antonio. Say what you will about him on the pitch, but Antonio is becoming a leader in the West Ham locker room and training pitch, hopefully pushing the competition on the right side of the field.

Next up we have two dynamic playmakers slowing things down and stunting on all of us with their crazy composure and skill.

The two South American playmakers seem to be getting on together and that is an amazing sight to see for us Irons. These two only played together a few times to end out the season, but West Ham’s string of victories happened over that period and we’re hoping for more of that! Maybe even some more ear-flicking shinanigans too.

I love this one the most, I think. Not only do you see how motivated they all are not to lose (because of the consequences) but you see Grady Diangana hanging out with the elite midfield attackers on the training ground. He has a lot left to learn in his footballing career but hanging out with these two players could prove massively beneficial for the English youngster!

So there you have it, three days are done in Austria and on Sunday we’ll get to see how the club gets on in their first match since ending last season. Let’s hope for more fun, more gelling, and no injuries!
